The Senior Electrician is responsible for all maintenance activities within Archer scope / area of responsibility and for the health and safety of all persons under their authority in accordance with the Archer core values. The Senior Electrician supervises offshore Electricians and Third Party Vendors.

  • Ensure that all maintenance work is performed safely, and in accordance with statutory and company regulations in accordance with good engineering practice.
  • Liaise daily with the Senior Company Representative regarding maintenance/repairs in order to properly plan ahead so as to avoid the risk of delay through equipment breakdown.
  • Manage and plan preventative & corrective maintenance operations for offshore maintenance team in accordance with client CMMS in order to meet client safety, compliance and operational targets.
  • Ensure that all Third Party personnel including Service Engineers comply with Company and Installation Safety Procedures.
  • Ensure that all equipment under their control complies with statutory requirements and is maintained at all times in a safe condition or is otherwise completely withdrawn from service, including tools and instruments in their care.
  • Update or modify any drawings, sketches or information on existing and replacement equipment as required or provide such information to management.
  • Report any misuse of equipment to the Senior Company Representative.
  • Ensure that an adequate supply of spare parts is maintained on the installation and is stored in environmentally sound conditions.
  • Check maintenance materials offloaded and liaise with Senior Company Representative to order/re-order stock as required to maintain a safe and efficient operation.
  • Ensure that all applicable Company reports are completed.
  • Comply with the Permit to Work systems in operation on the installation.
  • Ensure that all employees under their authority have sufficient information and knowledge to carry out their job without endangering any persons, plant or equipment and are adequately trained and experienced for a particular task before they are instructed to carry it out.
  • Ensure that health and safety at work and accident prevention are continuously brought to the attention of all employees under their authority by means of job supervision, instruction and training.
  • Participate in the performance evaluation of the personnel under their authority.
  • Work in conjunction with Assessor to complete and identify any development activities.
  • Participate in the Archer Competence System and identify opportunities for assessment and supply evidence as per requirements to compliment the Assessor's decision on competence for the various elements.
